MySpace Summary
MySpace is a social networking site which in three short years has became one of the top five most visited sites in the US. Unlike its predecessors, for one example Friendster, MySpace did “not have pre-conceived notions about how users wanted to interact with the site”. The users of the site were given the freedom to choose why and how they wanted to use the site. “MySpace listened to user feedback and quickly iterated the product [the users requested] with rapid development cycles.” At the users request MySpace added applications like blogs, comment boards, message boards and IM (Instant Messaging). MySpace became very popularity among teenage users because of its freedom and attentiveness to their users. As more and more teens joined MySpace it caught the attention of large corporations who were interested in it as more than just a social networking tool. These large corporations recognized the potential of social networking sites as great marketing tools. Corporations started paying for advertisement space on MySpace. Today there are advertisements everywhere on MySpace; there are even restrictions on the users prohibiting them from blocking these ads.

I think that MySpace became so popular because it catered to the user. Whenever you use myspace if there is a problem you always get notified from the admin people telling that they are working on the problem. The site also became succcessful for people who move around a lot because then they are able to keep in touch with their friends after they move away.
Although, some people are concerned how social networks like Myspace and Facebook affect privacy, I feel that it does not really infringe on you privacy. Everyone had the power to post what they want on their account and can remove it if they please. They can also post something and specify who can access that information.
MySpace is one of the most succcessful networking sites,
especially for teenage users
they communicate with friends easly and send videos, songs and post comments on others profiles and pictures so MySpace make those teenage users busy all the time and they love it because every time
one log in to his account they have to change the layouts, the
song and the profile picture also
they see all the updates of friends so they can keep in touch all time.
I think that Myspace is so popular because of the oportunaties it gives you. Not only you can find your old friend that you have not seen before, but you can also meet new people.My friend met his wife there:), but on the other hand if you gona get into it too much its going to "EAT" all youer free time.
